Frequently Asked Questions

Does it hurt/do you use numbing?

We do use numbing cream pre and during the procedure to ensure comfort. The pain is very minimal.

Will I bleed and will it look 'bad' as it heals?

Minimal bleeding is normal, we will give you a pre care instruction of what to avoid before your appointment to minimise the bleeding (like fish oil, aspirin, and other blood thinning medication etc). The healing process is usually smooth with proper pre and after care. There may be some initial redness on the day of the procedure, which can be reduced or minimised with LED light treatment. From my experience, during the healing process with proper care, you'd be socially acceptable :)

How long does the session take & how many sessions will I need?

You will need 2 sessions, the initial session and the perfection session n(4-6 weeks apart) Each session will take around 2 hours. I always work cautiously and conservatively during the initial session so we can make adjustments later if needed, considering how everyone's skin reacts and heals differently. Perfection session is crucial, it gives me the opportunity to fix any areas where pigment may not be retained as well and to make any necessary adjustments (colour, shape and density) to achieve the best possible result.

Will you map out my ideal shape?

Yes! Mapping the brows is one of the lengthiest process, taking  approximately 30-45 minutes. I use a special Phi compass to measure your brows, with the golden ratio of your face's proportions. Additionally, I use mapping strings to ensure precise measurements and finalise the symmetry with the Phi special app. I wont start the treatment until we are both happy with the result.

What brands do you use?

I use Phi disposable blade and Phi super pigment collection (their latest edition)

What is the downtime?

Immediately after, your. brows will appear darker you may experience some redness and slight swelling around the area. In day 3-7, your brows will start to scab and flake (mildly). Its crucial not to scratch or pick the scab as this can pull the pigment out. day 8-14 brows will appear lighter then the true colour of the pigment will start to show. day 15-30 is when the skin on its final stage of healing.

Will you match my existing colour?

I will custom-blend pigment to match the natural brow colour.

How often will I need a top up?

It varies depending on a lot of factors, like lifestyle, age, skin type etc. But typically yearly.

Do you do payment plans or Afterpay?

I offer 6 weeks flexible payment plan and Afterpay.

Can I still wax/tint my brows after having microblading done?

Absolutely, after the brows are fully healed.

What can I do to help the healing?

Follow the aftercare instructions carefully to avoid any scabbing.
