Pre-Treatment Information

Before you have a microblading treatment with us - there are a few key things you need to know. Please read through our before and aftercare information and get in touch with any questions or queries.

Before Treatment

PhiBrows Microblading involves two steps. After 4 weeks, your brows will heal, retaining about 60%-70% of the pigment from the initial treatment. This retention depends on the products, pigments, and skill used. If you skip the touch-up, your brows will still look fine, but they won't last the full 12-24 months. The touch-up at 4-8 weeks is crucial to refresh the strokes and bring the pigment back to 100%.

Things to consider BEFORE microblading:

  • Avoid coffee, alcohol, or energizing drinks on the day of the treatment.

  • Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, or Ibuprofen 24 hours before treatment.

  • Avoid omega-3 (fish oil) for 1 week before treatment.

  • No tanning or intense sun exposure 3 days before treatment.

  • Avoid waxing 2-3 days before treatment.

  • No chemical peels, dermabrasion, laser treatments, or Botox 2 weeks before or after the treatment.

  • Skin should be healthy, non-irritated, and blemish-free. I cannot work over spots or moles.

A Typical PhiBrows Microblading Treatment:

  • If you are sensitive or have allergies, a patch test is required at least 24 hours before the procedure.

  • Before the appointment, we will have a quick consultation to discuss your expectations and the results.

  • I will draw the eyebrow shape using the PhiBrows golden ratio tool, ensuring it complements your face shape and size. This process involves checking the shape while you are lying down and upright to ensure it fits your facial expressions and that you are happy with the thickness, length, shape, and overall look of your brows.

  • We will then choose the perfect PhiBrows color.

  • Initial strokes are placed during the first pass, and then an anesthetic is applied to reduce any discomfort.

  • Pigment is worked into each stroke during the second pass to better define the brows.

  • We will check for any adjustments you would like, and touch up if necessary.

  • A pigment mask is left to absorb into the skin.

  • Once finished, I will clean the area thoroughly.

  • After the service, I will apply a balm, and provide you with aftercare instructions.

Please Note: Results cannot be guaranteed.

If you have any of the following conditions, microblading may not last long, and details may fade faster:

  • Very oily skin

  • Enlarged pores on your forehead/face or acne-prone skin

  • Sensitive or reactive skin

  • Eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, or melasma

  • Very thick, dark, coarse eyebrow hair

If you answered yes to any of these, you may need additional appointments and/or more frequent touch-ups. A shaded brow may last longer and give better results, but results cannot be guaranteed.

Important:

  • If you have had microblading or brow tattoos done by another artist, please get in touch before booking.

  • Generally, I cannot cover other people's work unless it is faded enough. Sometimes, removal of the old tattoo may be necessary before new microblading can be done.
